Google Search Live With Video Rolling Out

Google Search Live With Video Rolling Out

Google has announced that the full version of Search Live — now with video support in addition to audio — is rolling out this week on mobile devices in the U.S. for users taking part in the AI Mode Labs experiment.

The feature was first previewed at Google I/O in May. While the audio-only version went live last month, the new update introduces video, making the experience far more interactive.

According to Google, “Search Live is fully integrated with Google Lens, our visual search tool. To get started, just open Lens in the Google app, tap the Live icon, and ask your question while pointing your camera. You can then have a natural, back-and-forth conversation with Search in AI Mode, supported by the visual context from your live camera feed — such as different angles or objects in motion.”

In simple terms, this upgrade lets you converse with Google while it also sees what’s in front of you. Whether you’re pointing your camera at an object, a place, or something in motion, Search can now respond with more context than ever before.
